Dubai's Play Restaurant & Lounge presents special summer menu

Fusing two delectable cuisines, MediterAsian menus are the latest rage among foodies. In Dubai, Play Restaurant & Lounge offers up dishes such as black cod croquettes, veal tempura with soy sauce, seabream in banana leaf, and baby chicken with saffron-infused yoghurt.

This summer, the restaurant is offering guests a bespoke set menu that includes an appetiser, a main dish and two house beverages, for just Dh300 for two people — which is a few dirhams cheaper than the fine-dining eatery’s stand-alone steaks and seafood options. The Summer Play Date promotion is valid throughout the months of July and August, although reservations are a must.

Former Zuma chef Reif Othman, who opened Play in 2015, will personally oversee the menu, and can customise it to allow for dietary specifications. And while dessert is not part of the offer, the chocolate fondant is a must-have.

Located on the 36th floor of H Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, the tiered restaurant is done up in elegant shades of brown and bronze, with wooden flooring, dim lighting and a delineated art deco ceiling: the perfect ambience for an elegant evening out. The kitchen is open from 7pm to 1am, while the lounge is open until 3am.
