New appointments at Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers

Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers, a leading five-star hotel in Dubai, UAE, has welcomed two new members to its executive team.

Ala’a Mustafa joins the hotel as executive chef and Bassel El Kontar is the property's new director of food and beverage.

"The appointment of both Ala’a and Bassel puts us in good position to revise, and consistently review our food and beverage offering here at Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers,” said Fadeel Wehbe, general manager of Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers. “Their experience of the UAE market puts them in strong position to introduce new opportunities for the hotel."

A Jordanian national, Mustafa has moved over from Sofitel The Palm, Dubai, where he worked as junior executive sous chef, and has been in the UAE for more than 10 years, across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. His specialty is the Arabic cuisine, however, his extensive experience in banquets has allowed him to develop a broad range of culinary skills with seafood, steak and Italian.

Commenting on his new appointment, Mustafa said: "This new role at Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers will allow me to expand my creativity, and showcase my culinary abilities. The restaurants here offer a broad range of cuisine, and I look forward to the challenge that it brings."

With more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Lebanese-national El Kontar joins Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers from one of the leading hotel chains in Middle East and Africa. Having spent his entire career working with food service, both in hotels and stand-alone restaurants, El Kontar has a unique understanding of customer needs and wants.

"Dubai has a vibrant food and beverage scene, and we’re lucky at Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers to have spectacular outlets that can showcase a world of cuisine choices, catering to the community’s diverse population," he said.
