When it comes to the finest Pakistani eatery in town, food lovers in the UAE are unanimous in their choice: Al Ibrahimi Group of Restaurants & Hotels. In the F&B business since the 80s, the restaurant is widely known for its rich variety of dishes and consistency in taste.
"We follow a basic rule in our restaurants: quality. Everything that goes in our kitchen is of top grade. That is the reason patrons keep coming back. It is not only Pakistanis and customers from the subcontinent who visit our restaurants; we get national and other expat diners regularly," Khan Zaman Suroor Khan, Managing Director, Al Ibrahimi Group of Restaurants & Hotels, told Khaleej Times.
Some of the finest culinary chefs in the country get together at Al Ibrahimi to recreate an authentic cuisine, complete with a unique taste and offering, which have remained consistent over the years. Al Ibrahimi, Electra Branch, Abu Dhabi has a seating capacity of over 400 guests at a time while Madina Zayed branch can accomodate 300-plus people. "We have a capacity of 400-plus guests in Dubai as well. A new branch of the restaurant is coming up in Sharjah before Ramadan," Khan revealed.
With attentive staff and proactive service, Al Ibrahimi has positioned itself as an eatery that offers a multi-cultural environment and fuses modern amenities with original Pakistani tradition. Much of the credit for this goes to Khan, who first landed in the UAE way back in the 1970s.
The soft-spoken Managing Director adds, "Before launching Al Ibrahimi, I worked in various capacities as a blue collar worker and petrol station attendant in the UAE. It was due to Allah's grace and sheer determination that I started this venture. Over time it became a raging success."
Noted for its delectable spread of food and taste, the restaurant is famous for buffet meals that offer a wide choice in barbecue dishes. With grilled food options including kebabs, mixed grilled veggies, lamb chops, skewered chicken, and much more on the offering, what sets the place apart is its reasonable price tag.
Al Ibrahimi's spread of main courses include biryani, 10 different types of non-vegetarian options, three to four vegetarian options, an array of salads, popular Chinese and Arabic dishes, and 10 to 12 choices in desserts.
"We cater to a large section of the UAE population. Al Ibrahimi delivers to private and business parties as well. Be it catering to the Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadium during the sporting season to any major function in the capital, our finger-licking food makes people savour every bite to the fullest," Khan noted.
As a board member of the prestigious Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), Khan has been working closely with the Pakistani community in the UAE. "As Pakistanis we have to show our commitment to the country that has provided so many employment opportunities to us. We can do so by being law-abiding citizens who work towards a better future for both - the UAE and Pakistan," he concluded.
Al Ibrahimi Group runs two successful hotels Al Jazira Royal Hotel in Abu Dhabi and Verona Resort in Sharjah.
