After isolation of tens of years, Myanmar opens market, boosts foreign investment and becomes one of the emerging economies in the area. Myanmar’s President Thein Sein has led this country to “irreversible change” and tripled the size of the economy within three years. Investment incentives also encourage investors to do business in this market. Reduction of Tax on profits from export up to 50 percent on the profits accrued from exported goods. According to Oxford Business Group, Exemptions or relief from income tax are available for business profits that are maintained in a reserve fund and subsequently re-invested within one year after the reserve fund. Tax exemption on import is applied to imported equipment and materials used in business for the period of construction and for the first 3 years of commercial production.
