The inaugural Bahrain Food Festival kicked-off in the kingdom, in celebration of ‘Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016.’
The 10-day event, organised by Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, has been positioned as a culinary exhibition that showcases the kingdom’s emergence as a gastronomy destination.
Shaikh Khaled Bin Humood Al Khalifa, acting chief of the authority, said: “The Bahrain Food Festival aims to encourage diversity, creativity and the unique multicultural nature of the kingdom, while highlighting new and varied culinary concepts, restaurants and hospitality that the Kingdom has to offer.”
More than 40 pre-eminent outlets are taking part in the event including businesses and concepts related to the food industry such as restaurants, hotels, nutrition, and kitchen appliances.
"The event is held under the umbrella of Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism, an initiative launched to promote two-way tourism between the GCC countries," he added.
Congratulation!
