France is set to occupy 1250 m2across two pavilions at the 21st edition of Gulfood, set to begin on February 21 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Approximately 100 exhibitors will be displaying various foodservice products and equipment, and are expected to launch several French products.
The 71 food and drinks companies will be located in Sheikh Saeed Hall 1. Whereas 28 foodservice and catering equipment companies will be housed in the other pavilion in Za’beel Hall.
Business France will also be bringing its regional experts from France and several other countries namely Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, India, as well as Kenya to join the event.
Marc Cagnard, French trade commissioner in the Middle East said most of French SME’s on both pavilions participate to get more visibility and discover the market, especially to create business partnerships and gain a larger exposure across the Middle East region.
For instance, Saudi Arabia is considered as the largest export market for French companies in the food & beverage products, with approximately US $1 billion in 2014 (making France the seventh largest provider to KSA).
At a global level, France is the fourth largest exporter of food & beverage products since 2011, with US $63 billion in 2014. France is the sixth largest exporter of equipment in the food industry. Between 2009 and 2014, France has increased its exports by 5.2%.
Globally, the food sector represents for France the third trade surplus with around $10 billion in 2014.
Congratulation!
