Healthy Foods Online targeting export growth at Dubai's Gulfood exhibition

Liverpool exporter Healthy Foods Online is looking to expand its network at the annual Gulfood exhibition in Dubai next week.

Following last year’s success which saw the company sign deals with multiple retailers in the region, Healthy Foods Online is again exhibiting at the event which starts on February 21.

Gulfood brings together more than 4,000 exhibitors and 90,000 purchasing professionals from around the world and Healthy Foods Online says growing on last year’s success is key to creating more jobs in the Liverpool region.

Sales and marketing manager Michael Craven said: “Last year's exhibition was really successful for Healthy Foods Online. This will now be our third visit to the exhibition.

"We will be meeting with our current clients to discuss new products and also looking to expand our network with new retailers."

With a strong client base already cemented in the Middle East market, Gillmoss-based Healthy Foods Online is looking to expand and meet new customers, particularly in the North African region.

"North Africa for us is a market that we've identified as expanding rapidly, it's an area where consumers are looking for high quality food from Europe," said Mr Craven.

"One of our main goals will be to build relationships with purchasers from this region."

Healthy Foods Online and other UK companies are assisted by the UK Trade and Investment department in attending such overseas events .

The UKTI works with businesses in the UK by providing support with their export goals and promoting the UK as a country where business can be done.

At Gulfood the UKTI will have a large segment of the exhibition hall designated for UK-based businesses.
