Emirates Palace ready for one-night foodie festival

Emirates Palace is launching its own foodie festival – Flavours of the Palace – a one-night only event on October 21 that will serve up a variety of dishes from its restaurants at stalls set up on the hotel’s terrace.

Visitors will be able to sample bites from Mezlai, the hotel’s award-winning Emirati restaurant; BBQ Al Qasr, a beachside outdoor barbecue restaurant; Mezzaluna, for traditional Italian fare; Le Vendome, a European restaurant; Hakkasan, the hotel’s upscale modern Cantonese restaurant; Sayad, a seafood eatery; and Havana Club for Cuban fare.

There will also be a selection of desserts from Alexander Haebe, the hotel’s executive pastry chef.

Executive sous chef Carmine Pecoraro says the event is an important development for the hotel’s food and beverage team. “Our chefs put a great amount of passion and pride into their food every day,” says Pecoraro. “Flavours of the Palace will be fantastic food, great ambience and a true expression of what Emirates Palace has to offer culinary-wise.”

The entry price of Dh150 will include a set of 15 vouchers worth Dh10 each.

Sample dishes will range in price from Dh20 for starters and desserts to Dh30 for mains. Additional vouchers can be purchased at the event. It will also include live cooking stations, music from the hotel’s resident DJ and a raffle.
