Dubai has sent off a significant new food innovation centre set to go about as a "worldwide objective" for venturesome organizations and a vital driver of the emirate's economy.
Sheik Mohammed container Rashid, VP and Leader of Dubai, divulged the ground breaking Food Tech Valley on Saturday.
He said the "city" would help further foster vertical cultivating and other high level horticulture innovations and support the UAE's food security.
The cutting edge community plans to significantly increase the UAE's food creation and make the country more self-maintainable.
It was created through an organization between the Service of Food and Water Security and Wasl Properties.
"We sent off the primary period of Food Tech Valley, another cutting edge and lively city that will act as a worldwide objective for new businesses and industry specialists in the food biological system," Sheik Mohammed said.
It will feature offices for research and development, a community for progress, a centre for clever food strategies, and areas for vertical farming.
"The value of food trade in the UAE exceeds Dh100 billion ($27.2) annually. Our country is a hub for global agricultural operations, therefore we'll work to create a supportive environment for agribusinesses that will encourage new farming advances and increase our long-term food security.
"Food and medicine represent strategic sectors that help us pave the way for the next generation to live in prosperity and sustainability."
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and Mariam Al Mheiri, the Minister of State for Food Security, attended the launch with Sheikh Mohammed.
In addition, it will be an economic zone, which is particularly important given that the AgTech market's size is anticipated to increase from $13.5 billion to $22 billion during the following four years.
The project includes a food innovation hub that is shaped like a head of wheat and incorporates labs, research facilities, and experimental farming methods.
