Innovative New Food Delivery Service Launched in Dubai

The region’s first airport delivery service has been launched by Deliveroo at Dubai International (DXB).

The service is named DeliverooDXB and is a customer-centered endeavor that will provide fresh food delivered to customers in minimal time. Orders can be delivered to customers straight to their boarding gates within a few minutes of the order being placed on Deliveroo’s app, the Deliveroo website or via a link on DXB’s Wi-Fi service.

The launch of the programme in Dubai will be followed closely by its launch in other international hubs around the globe.

Eugene Barry, the Dubai Airports’ Commercial and Communications group executive vice president said that DeliverooDXB will be a truly ground-breaking service that will bring with it an extra layer of convenience.

He was quoted saying, “Our mission to completely reinvent the airport experience is rooted in implementing innovative concepts, as demonstrated by this partnership with the world’s best food delivery brand.  Now passengers can receive delicious food from our food & beverage outlets while they wait to board, all made possible by the expertise of Deliveroo and our world-beating Wi-Fi service”

Deliveroo General Manager, Aris Harb proceeded to state Deliveroo’s goal to be that of providing the best food delivery experience in the world, adding that this would not be limited to home or office services. He described the service’s next step to be that of revolutionizing the manner in which people order restaurant food.

Emirates Leisure Retail CEO Kevin Zajax, also gave his full backing to Deliveroo, expressing his delight at being a part of the launch of this concept. He also predicted the freshness and quality of the food to be a big hit with customers.

The service is presently available to passengers in DXB Terminal 3, A-Gates with over 10 participating outlets inclusive of Costa, Giraffe, Café Chocolate, Picnic, Paul Bakery & Restaurant, Pulp Juice, Carluccio's, Le Pain Quotidien and McDonald's.

Dubai Airports plans to roll-out these services across a number of outlets and concourses at DXB in the coming six months.
