Occupying a whopping 48 million square feet, Dubai Food Park is located close to Al Maktoum International Airport and Jebel Ali, making it an ideal getaway to the Expo 2020 site. For quite some time, Dubai needed specialised logistical services in order to ease its supply chain costs.
The demand for dedicated spaces to accommodate the fast-growing food sector was also getting bigger. In the wake of this, both the conception and the need for an ultra-modern food hub appears in line with the government’s long-term plan to catapult the city forward as the region’s leading market in the food sector. Moreover Dubai Food Park is likely to aid that vision by providing an advanced infrastructure that meets the current and future needs of the region’s food sector.
Close to eleven per cent of the UAE’s gross domestic product is generated through food trade. With the industry expected to grow by another 70 per cent in the UAE by 2030, Dubai Food Park is perfectly poised to play a huge role in the nation’s overall development.
